Just by looking at the list above you can tell that this is a guitar album. We have to think about the function of this kind of music before we can get into the review.

Very often guitar playing is overexaggerating on this type of fusion guitar albums. Everything serves just one thing: the excellence of the guitar player. And it doesn't matter, but it doesn't really support the music. Very often the quality of compositions is inferior. The most important thing is just to show off one's amazing talent on the guitar. Technically speaking, the results are often unbelievable. But it is not so common to find strong musical content. The music of Pat Metheny is boring very often but it sounds like avantgarde compared to the worst examples of this kind of music.

Fortunately, the critique doesn't apply to this album. Mr. Hallebeek and Mr. Kotikoski have managed to create intensive compositions , in my opinion. Their music is even more interesting than the music of the fusion guitar great Frank Gambale. Frank is playing on this album, too.

But I think that Richard and Antti are defenitely on their way to become better. We have a reason to expect the next albums to be even more interesting. Both guitarists have achieved an excellent technical level. The guest artists are shining, too.
