Early arrival at 12.00 at the Brasserie where
we got some cappucino's to start the day.
The place was small, but it's a good intimate
place for live music.
The set we
played was:
Free
Good Food
Orange Faces Everywhere
Imagine
Ominox
Acoustic guitar & piano interlude
Enigma
Prescription Strenght
New Day
Labyrinth
TMA
Lined Out

Note Bas' little
mascotte, a blue Barbie that matches his drumset.
It helped him a lot with his playing is what
he told us.
Some confusion
when we hit the stage, ready to take over
Emmen and then the world..somebody had turned
down the 'level' of my trusty tube screamer...no
sound at all..funny! (not) We had to get into
things the first set a bit. The second set
felt way more relaxed. Thanks eveybody who
came out to see us and bought the cd.

Being excited
about our first gig, I forgot to eat. Playing
this stuff on just a few cups of coffee..
you start to feel it around 16.00! After hanging
out with some people after the gig, we had
some Good Food at a local place. Much needed
before the 2 1/2 hour drive home.
Did you ever
hear of a tune called Machine Gun Eddie from
Nitro? Jim Gillette? I never did, but now
I know thanks to Lale who sang it on the way
back home.

Lale
says:
Hello
everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read
this. So... finally on the road with Rich
and the guys.
After two days of rehearsals and one gig we
feel pretty excited. Things will only get
better, at least that's what we tell ourselves
:-)
Before the next gig we should not forget to
eat though. Food is a good thing if you want
to prevent fainting on stage, highly recommended!
It was a fun crowd in Brasserie and there
was a positive vibe in the room. Some guys
screamed something in Dutch, I hope it was
something positive and not a comment about
my ugly facial expressions while playing or
something. :-)
Anyway, when we were packing up after the
gig all my scores were gone from my note stand(?).
Someone might have stolen it!! This could
mean two things: 1 - We really played some
cool stuff and someone wanted to check out
the scores, or 2: - We played so many mistakes
so that someone had to check if all that was
actually in the score. Either way I'll need
to copy some new ones. I do know most of it
by heart now anyway.
Whatelse can I say, the guys are playing their
asses off and we are looking forward to the
coming gigs. Again thanks for your interest
and hope that you'll enjoy the shows. See
you soon! If you want to write to me you can
use this address: lale_larson@yahoo.se . There
are some liveclips posted on Sebastiaan's
site :
Later,
Lale
