This was an
event well publicised in magazines and with
posters and flyers, but for some reason, not
too many people showed up. I think there were
around 20 people there. People might also
have been thrown off by the changed times
we were playing. A couple of months ago, it
was 13.00, then it was, 19.00, then 17.30.
The people from Bose were there so we spent
some time setting up the Cylindrical System
properly, with miking the amps etc. It worked
out better then before because now we actually
had the space to put the speakersystem behind
us. Sometimes the venues we play are so small
that it's hard to place the Bose in the proper
place.

Thank you Martijn
for taking the pictures for us. We played
a one-hour set with our faves: Free, Good
Food, Imagine, Prescription Strenght, Enigma,
Lined Out and more. The band after us used
our amps and drumset so we had to stay there
for a bit longer. Enjoyed seeing the Peter
Tiehuis band! It got late after all.
On the way back
in the car Lale started speaking with this
strange demonic girl voice, puking green stuff,
swearing, and turning his head 360 degrees
saying he wanted to go back to Blijburg. If
I refused he and Satan would make sure I had
to play The Duke for the rest of my life 8
times a week (that's every evening and sunday
afternoon) What a nightmare! No choice but
to go back to our Blijburg friends. We
drove there and we get drinks for free there
now, so they must love us too.

We're on our
way to Groningen, the last gig of this tour.
This will be filmed by some people. We'll
be doing our best to make it a great gig,
see you there!
Rich
Lale
speaks out:
As you all can see I turned into a demon towards
the end of the set, not unusual for jazz musicians
who play with horns (sorry, I just had to!!)
Nighttown was a cool place and it was well
organized with a lot of professionals helping
us out with the new sound system and everything.
Thanks guys! Unfortunately there weren't that
many people there. I would like to thank the
guys who came up to me afterwards and asked
me about the music and who wanted to buy my
solo albums, sorry that I didn't bring any
CD's this time. Thanks for your interest and
love for music. OK, now we are off to Groningen
for another gig and video shoot. Hope to see
you there! Forgive me father for I have sinned.....mo,ho,ho,ho,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha!!
