The days after
the gigs.. going through all the pictures
and the DAT's...there's some good recordings
there, but I don't think there will be an
official bootleg release from one of these
gigs though. Some people asked for that but
I feel the soundquality is just not up to
standard. Some dates were suprisingly not
recorded at all for some reason, probably
I forgot to switch on the mike of the DAT
because I had so much on my head already.
One DAT gives an 'error' message in the screen
that I will check later this week on the pro
DAT machine they have at the musicschool.
I wil also receive some DVD's this week from
the video recordings that were done at Buckshot.
I'll put up the soundclips and videos at the
appropiate day in the diary the coming weeks.
The recordings
confirmed my feelings: our first date was
probably the tightest since we had rehearsed
for two days prior to that gig. Then we defenitely
loosened up later that week, some things got
more sloppy, but it defenitely felt more organic.
And it sounds that way too. It was a great
learning experience and kick for me to improvise
with these musicians onstage. They react to
every note you play to the point where an
individual solo becomes a thing where the
whole band is breathing the solo. We defenitely
went to another space more then once at some
gigs. People who attended the gigs with an
open ear got a free ticket to travel along
with us.

We're planning
to do some more gigs later this year, it's
just a matter of finding the right venues
for our music. If you would like to see RHP
in your surroundings and know a place where
you think we could realistically fit, send
me a message and we'll try to make it happen
for our tourschedule later this year. I hope
to see everybody that came to our gigs there
again!
