I’m mixing my new live cd ‘ Richard Hallebeek Project – Live In Alphen’ and here’s a track that I just finished mixing called ‘Wristkiller’, written by FransVollink.
The cd will be an audio cd, but I though it would be fun to share the live audio with some of the videos I have from that evening. (not much!)
I’m loving the Soundtoys plugins for mixing, as well as the FAS-FX reverb and the TC Electronic Vintage Guitar Pedal Bundle.
The Fractal Audio sounds I’m using will be available later this year with the cd release in a collaboration with Thibault de Robillard.

I just finished recording guitar for a very cool conceptual cd called ‘Soundscapes’ from Spanish drummer Abel Sequera. Abel plays in DeathKeepers (featuring ex-Yngwie Malmsteen’s singer Michael Vescera) and ‘Soundscapes’ will have around 40 musicians, including:

Here’s a new track I recently recorded with Jeroen van Helsdingen (piano) called ‘Calm Before The Storm’. Jeroen has a nice spacious house with big windows overlooking the countryside and that surely inspired the atmosphere of this track. Our previous cd ‘Hels’ has been doing really well and as always I’m excited to share the new music with you! Look out for our new cd coming up this year.

There is also a lot of new music coming up: “There is a new CD coming up from my rock trio ‘Bumerang’, with the Italian bassist Lorenzo Feliciatiand drummer Niels Voskuil, and I’m going to mix a live CD from my recent theater concert in Alphen. That will be released on my own label Richie Rich Music. In addition, the new CD ‘Hels!’ By Jeroen van Helsdingen has just been released. In support of this cd we will play live and record the successor this year. As always, I’m always writing new music, also for a new solo cd. ”

I recorded this demo for Fremen’s Fractal Audio Axe-Fx III presets since they’re so fantastic. Fremen has very big ears and all his presets are so very musical and usable, straight out of the box! I picked some random sounds here – no post-signal processing or external plug-ins used. What you hear is what you get! We’re collaborating on a jazz-rock fusion package now that will be out soon. I’m mixing the music from the theatre performance we did a couple of months ago with Richard Hallebeek Project at Parkvilla Theatre, Alphen to a live cd. We had a great evening playing for a near-sold out theatre and luckily the audio was captured in full quality. It will be released on my label Richie Rich Music 2019.
