Here’s a new track I recently recorded with Jeroen van Helsdingen (piano) called ‘Calm Before The Storm’. Jeroen has a nice spacious house with big windows overlooking the countryside and that surely inspired the atmosphere of this track. Our previous cd ‘Hels’ has been doing really well and as always I’m excited to share the new music with you! Look out for our new cd coming up this year.

“That is so cool!”, Says a pleasantly surprised Hallebeek, who’s gained a lot of succes, not only with his own music, but also with his interactive lessons for the American TrueFire. “My fourth instruction DVD is scheduled for 2019. This time it’s about playing through changes. In addition, for Fractal Audio, that I have an endorsement with, I will release a sound package that I have made in collaboration with Thibault de Robillard, aka Fremen, who writes a lot of great presets. ”
There is also a lot of new music coming up: “There is a new CD coming up from my rock trio ‘Bumerang’, with the Italian bassist Lorenzo Feliciatiand drummer Niels Voskuil, and I’m going to mix a live CD from my recent theater concert in Alphen. That will be released on my own label Richie Rich Music. In addition, the new CD ‘Hels!’ By Jeroen van Helsdingen has just been released. In support of this cd we will play live and record the successor this year. As always, I’m always writing new music, also for a new solo cd. ”
For guitarists who want to win a future poll, Hallebeek has a simple tip: “Do your own thing! Nobody can make your own music as well as you do. It’s certainly not the easiest route, but the most rewarding in the long run. ”
I recorded this demo for Fremen’s Fractal Audio Axe-Fx III presets since they’re so fantastic. Fremen has very big ears and all his presets are so very musical and usable, straight out of the box! I picked some random sounds here – no post-signal processing or external plug-ins used. What you hear is what you get! We’re collaborating on a jazz-rock fusion package now that will be out soon. I’m mixing the music from the theatre performance we did a couple of months ago with Richard Hallebeek Project at Parkvilla Theatre, Alphen to a live cd. We had a great evening playing for a near-sold out theatre and luckily the audio was captured in full quality. It will be released on my label Richie Rich Music 2019. NEW CD OUT 2019
Thanks so much everybody for showing up at my first ever solo theatre performance in Alphen last week. People came all the way from Italy, Germany, Belgium and of course Holland to attend this event. Thankful for that! We had a great time and hope to see you soon at our next gig!
Our new cd HELS! was signed today by the whole band and will be out the door this weekend. Excited to get the music out there and thank you for your patience and preorders!
The cd will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music etc. from november 21st, 2018.
Today we presented our new cd ‘Hels!’ live on radio in a show called Co Live! from Co de Kloet. It was a good feeling to finally have the music on air! A big batch of cd’s will be in in a couple of days, signed by the whole band and sent out to all who preordered the cd. Thanks for the support!

Our new Jeroen van Helsdingen cd ‘Hels!’ went off to the pressing plant today and will be sent out next week to all pre-orderers – thank you so much for supporting this project and making this possible! The digital release will be in november. Also next Wednesday we’ll be streaming live on NPO, Co de Kloet’s radio show with an interview on how this cd came about.
Here’s another track from the new Jeroen van Helsdingen Band cd that’s now available and this one’s called “Cruisin’ California”. Very happy with the way this cd came out and I think it’s a great sounding overall production. This track is also included as a ‘music minus 1’ for you to play along with (looking forward to hearing your take on this solopart!) and also my Axe Fx sounds are available. You can find it on the cd page.
I’m playing on a new cd from Jeroen van Helsdingen Band with Frans Vollink – bass, Marc Schenk – drums and it’s available for preorder now. We’ve recorded it over the past 1,5 years and It probably has more guitar on it then my own cd’s 😉 Below is a video from what you can expect: great songwriting from Jeroen, challenging solo parts and an amazing sounding end product straight from Frans’ studio ‘Het Atelier’. There’s two options you can check out: a regular signed cd by all band members (you’ll receive the cd two weeks before it’s release Oct 1st 2018) and a ‘Deluxe’ package featuring all my Axe FX sounds used on this cd, plus three songs minus guitar with charts included so you can jam along.
Uploaded a fun new track to Youtube I recorded a while ago with Eus Veldhuisen. He got in touch with me around 2013 after he saw me perform with Dweezil Zappa in Amsterdam and asked me to record this. Great composition from Eus with a wink to Frank Z., but definitely with his own twist here 
I’m joining Dweezil Zappa & Band live @ Melkweg, Amsterdam for their *Choice Cuts 2018 World Tour*. A mystery appearance where all I can tell you about it’s in the key of F#. (I’m sure fans know the title of this track by now
